How To Do T-Tapp Jazz Twist

What is T-Tapp?

T-Tapp is a mind/body workout created by the late Teresa Tapp. Teresa had worked for many years in the high fashion modeling industry. She had a gift of “knowing” what movements women could do to lose inches and tighten and tone their body quickly. She also needed to have moves that only used the body (no additional equipment) and didn’t take up much space.

Using her own body and working with these young women for years allowed her to create a workout that most of us can do and get great results with. It also create strength and flexibility of the spine which has helped many people with back, neck and shoulder issues.

T-Tapp is a series of moves that work all of the muscles of the body, from their origin through the insertion (full fiber creating long, lean, dense muscles) in proper alignment. It is also very lymphatic so it helps with our own detox system to create health from the inside out.

Teresa Tapp used to say “T-Tapp is MORE than a workout and it works from the inside out!”

In this Facebook live, I share how to do one of the T-Tapp moves in the “Basic Workout +” called T-Tapp Jazz Twist. This is one of my favorite T-Tapp moves because it works every part of the body and gives you a wonderful rotation of your spine.

Spinal rotations are so healthy for our spine. They can help with gaining greater flexibility, move synovial fluid, pump our lymph system, cinch in our torso and help us feel more youthful.

To get the best benefit from T-Tapp Jazz twist, it requires correct alignment. This means not leaning forward or backward. You want to take a few seconds to check on your alignment before doing the move.

The rotation should come from the bent arm pulling back, allowing the front arm to go forward. It is like pulling an arrow. When you pull back, you engage those top back muscles and that is also wonderful for releasing tight hips.

En-joy this move. Practice it in a mirror to check your alignment and get brain to body connected to how it feels. Then when you put it back into your full T-Tapp routine, you will be able to enjoy it's benefits and learn the additional modifications.

If you’d like to learn all the moves in the T-Tapp Basic Workout+ and get the wonderful benefits of this short but effective workout, check out my digital course called T-Tapp Method 101.
